This term we have been working on our prepositions during PMP. Some examples we have been learning are:
Here are some great photo’s of us having so much fun learning about the word ‘in’! We have that much fun at PMP that we sometimes forget we are even learning!!
We would love some mums and dads to come and help us during PMP, so if you’re free on Tuesday morning let your child’s teacher know.
Wow! What a wonderful start to school for our wonderful new Prep students. They have explored their new learning environment, made new friends and toured the school! They’ve been building, making, reading, exploring, writing and engaging in dramatic play. Our preps have talked about the school values at SAEPS and attended their first whole school assembly. In the coming weeks, they will continue on their learning journey. In maths, they will be making patterns and counting to 10 and beyond. In reading, they will be learning about sentences, words and letters. In writing, they will be drawing pictures to show what they are thinking and having a go at writing letters they know or sounds they can hear. It’s been really exciting for the Prep teachers to have the chance to meet all the new students and their families, especially those new to SAEPS.
Visit our page regularly to keep up to date and help us celebrate all of the wonderful things our preps are learning at school.
As a part of our Inquiry unit, My Home, My World the Preps have been exploring places that are special to them. One of our Prep students, Axel, identified our school as a special place to him. He decided that he must take some action to care for his special place. At a moments notice Axel spoke to the whole school to tell them about his plan and ask for their help! Please watch the videos to see him in action!
